I was painting iconic artist and I though, Hey, why not me? This is not a fixed series, but a living one. This original 11x14-inch painting was created by me, Jim Faris, in my Washington, D.

It's a vibrant, one-of-a-kind piece painted in acrylic and mixed media on stretched canvas. Signed, original, and there is only one in the world. My work blends neo-expressionism, abstract expressionism, and postmodern influences, using texture, color, and raw mark-making to explore the harmony that hides inside chaos. Some pieces include layers of vintage magazines from the 1940s through the 1990s, little fragments of history that bring their own stories and energy to the surface.

Some incorporate gelli plates and other pressed or imprinted processes. Every painting is its own event. Make-Shift Studio, same day or next day. Size: 11 x 14 inches.
